PANDICA NEWS

PANDICA has published a case report study illustrating superior utility of its proprietary PandiCath® catheter technology in managing life-threatening GI bleeding.

The first peer-reviewed article authored by PANDICA team and its clinical collaborator has been published describing clinical example of treating severe and life-threatening esophageal bleeding. The method of treatment applied and described in the article has broad application but showed particular promise for challenging cases of severe GI bleeding when precise location of the source of hemorrhage is hard or impossible to identify rendering commonly used treatment methods ineffective. The method takes advantage of the unique combination of functionality of PANDICA's proprietary catheter PandiCath®, which enables targeted delivery and prolonged exposure of hemostatic compounds in the broadly defined area of bleeding, while draining the upper parts of GI tract and allowing for simultaneous and continuous enteral feeding of patients.
